Stuff on a Stick

Tonight I was granted a lovely break.  I had a smoothie and shared scones with a close friend!  It was so great to have two hours of uninterrupted time to chat and giggle and sigh about life.

Next, I had dinner with five other great ladies who I cooked and laughed with all evening!  I stuck an avocado pit in my mouth to suck off the bits of avocado and almost choked I was laughing so hard at the wonderful humor of the other girls!  I almost spewed lettuce out of my nose I was laughing so hard during the meal, and practically cackled afterward.  These girls are incredible.  They are role models, they are loving life, they seem so worry free, and are the most supportive caring bunch I have ever had the pleasure to laugh with.

Love the giggling gal,

Day of Service

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  A perfect day to fly your American flag and be proud of your privilege of freedom.  Martin Luther King Jr. fought for an end to racial discrimination and segregation using nonviolent methods.  he stood up for his rights as an American in order, not only to obtain civil rights for himself, but for everyone being discriminated against.

"Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, 'Life's most persistent and urgent question is; 'What are you doing for others?''"

This is the time to take advantage of your freedom and your rights and to reach out to those who are struggling around you.  We live in America!  We live in a land of liberty and freedom!  We have the largest national economy, the most ethnically diverse nation, the Constitution, and civil rights!  With all of these blessings it is time for us to reach out to those around us, living in the great nation, and lend them a helping hand.

This is our time to serve our country, and honor the freedoms our forefathers fought so hard to obtain.

Go to http://mlkday.gov/ and get involved in an area near you.

"Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.
God bless America"
-God Bless America, Irving Berlin

Freedom Park

During my Christmas break from school I decided to check out the local parks.  I took some pictures and then jumped in my care and sped out of there because there were boys throwing knives and homeless people following me and talking to me.  Next time I visit a park I think I will bring a friend.  Anyway, this is what I saw.

Yes, I know it is a trash can.

Take some time to explore this Christmas season.

A Love Like No Other

As Christmas draws near Kirsten and I had some friends over for a festive celebration.

The table was set in true Christmas spirit.

The snowball candle was surrounded by fresh cranberries and ready to glow.

The silverware was polished to perfection.

My precious moments nativity was displayed in all of its glory.

Baby Jesus was sleeping peacefully.

The animals observed their Maker.

The sun rained down onto the scene.  Lighting up the faces of the wisemen and the shepherds.

The star shone brightly as the angels declared His majesty.

The dog sniffed it all in great excitement (silly Belly)!

The tree was aglow with Christmas lights and an angel on top.
The food was good, the friends were fabulous, and the festivities have begun!

I'm Back!

I just finished my very last final: Real Analysis of a Single Variable!  With finals out of the way I should be back to crafting, posting, sewing, knitting, baking and everything fun and exciting!

In order to celebrate my completion of the semester I went to

and ordered my absolute favorite

99 cent tacos!  They are delicious greasy perfection!

With the excitement of crafts to come,

Felicity
