A Love Like No Other

As Christmas draws near Kirsten and I had some friends over for a festive celebration.

The table was set in true Christmas spirit.

The snowball candle was surrounded by fresh cranberries and ready to glow.

The silverware was polished to perfection.

My precious moments nativity was displayed in all of its glory.

Baby Jesus was sleeping peacefully.

The animals observed their Maker.

The sun rained down onto the scene.  Lighting up the faces of the wisemen and the shepherds.

The star shone brightly as the angels declared His majesty.

The dog sniffed it all in great excitement (silly Belly)!

The tree was aglow with Christmas lights and an angel on top.
The food was good, the friends were fabulous, and the festivities have begun!

The Thanks of Late

I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  I spent the day sleeping in my bed or on the couch.  Not what I was planning on for Thanksgiving day but I was much more aware of how blessed I am; that my momma spent the whole day taking care of me, that I had a roof over my head, a bajillion warm blankets, a lazy dog to sleep with me, and all of the drugs the pharmacy would give me to combat this second strain of strep.

This Thanksgiving my list of what I'm thankful for is much different than in previous years but still sincere.  I ma thankful for cough drops,

disinfectant wipes,

tea, and honey.

It is a great thing that I celebrated Thanksgiving early in the week with great friends and delicious food.  I even made my very first pie, all by myself, from scratch!  Each step made the pie look more yummy!

This group of friends made a feast to remember!

Off to practice!  It's a good thing I am playing at church today, because my throat is still too sore to sing!

Farm Fresh Family

Today we have a guest . . . kind of.  My family has a lot of chickens.  They are beautiful chickens that are so much fun to feed.  They follow you around every time you step outside in hopes that you give them food; and they make you feel so loved, so needed because as soon as you enter the scene 40+ animals have made you the center of attention.
